Isabella Diaz
Isabella Diaz received her SPE Fort Worth Section Scholarship in the Spring of 2020. She is graduating from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Sciences in Petroleum Engineering and a final GPA of 3.78.
While at Texas A&M, Isabella participated in the SPE student chapter. She also interned with Texland Petroleum for three consecutive summers gaining experience in all of the oil and gas industry.
After graduation, Isabella will be joining Texland as a Reservoir Engineer in Fort Worth, TX.
Mason Hodge
Mason received his SPE scholarship in the fall of 2022. Originally from Keller, he is graduating from LSU with a Petroleum Engineering degree and cumulative gpa of 3.34.While at LSU, Mason has been active in the student chapter of the SPE.
While a student, Mason had opportunities to work with Texland Petroleum and Norton Energy where his interest in pursuing a career in oil and gas were strengthened.
Sarah Qureshi
Sarah received the SPE Fort Worth Section Scholarships beginning in the Fall Semester of 2021. She graduated with a degree in Petroleum Engineering in the Spring of 2024, Cum Laude from Texas Tech University. While pursuing her bachelor's degree, she underwent an undergraduate research program for two years with a focus on nano-silica and cement slurry research. She presented her research and secured first place in the 2023 AADE Fluids Undergraduate Student Paper Contest in Midland, TX. She placed third in presenting a literature review on plunger selection in plunger lift wells at the Southwestern Petroleum Short Course in Lubbock, TX in 2024.
She is an active member of the Texas Tech University student chapters of the SPE, and SWE, and was the president of the TTU AADE and TTU IADC student chapter for the 2023-2024 academic year. Throughout her time at Texas Tech, she participated in two internships with ConocoPhillips, one in production engineering in Midland, TX, and one in reservoir engineering in Houston, TX. Upon graduation, she will be joining ConocoPhillips full-time in Houston, TX as a L48 engineer.
Ashlynn Tutter
Ashlynn received her SPE Fort Worth Section Scholarship in the fall of 2020. This spring she graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Ocean Engineering and a final GPA of 3.4.
While at A&M, Ashlynn was an active member of MTS (Marine Technology Society) and SNAME (Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers); and a women’s organization, Aggie Royals. She also completed two internships with Provenance Engineering and ABS (American Bureau of Shipping).
After graduation, Ashlynn will be joining Metal Shark Boats, working as an assistant project manager.
