2020-2021 Scholarship Awards Announced

 
The SPE Fort Worth Section is pleased to announce the 2020-2021 Scholarship Award Recipients. 

Ashlynn Tutter

Ashlynn Tutter is graduating from Brock High School with a perfect 4.0 GPA. She is a member of the National Honor Society in addition to being a member of the UIL Academics Team (mathematics) and Student Counsel. Ashlynn is active in varsity track, cross country, and basketball. She also volunteers in tutoring younger students after school. She loves surfing, reading, and spending quality time with her family.

Ashlynn has been accepted to Texas A&M University where she plans to pursue a degree in Engineering.

Isabella (Izzy) Diaz

Isabella Diaz is graduating from Southwest High School in Fort Worth as the Valedictorian of her class with a 4.5 GPA and over 25 hours of pre-AP, AP, and dual credit courses.  She is a member of the National Honor Society, IPAS (Independent Petroleum Academy At Southwest), and a leader in the FWISD United Voices 4 Change.  During her high school career she participated in the IPAA/PESA Petroleum Academy Gold Seal Program (where she won numerous awards) as well as being a part of Texland Petroleum’s Externship Summer Program. She is a volunteer with her local church as well as helping raise her two siblings.

Isabella has been accepted to Texas A&M University where she wants to pursue a degree in either Petroleum or Chemical Engineering.

  • Diana Gomez-Ramos (Fort Worth, TX). Diana is a student at UTA majoring in Mechanical Engineering
  • Lane Ferguson (Fort Worth, TX). Lane is a student at Texas Tech University majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Andrea Mendoza (Glen Rose, TX). Andrea is a student at Texas A&M University majoring in Chemical Engineering.
