Community Involvement

Volunteers Needed

As part of our efforts to be involved in our community, SPE Fort Worth has several events and activities that we support. One of those events is the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History Engineers Week where school children (ages 8-12) come for an activity filled, week-long event where they will create, build and learn through various activities dedicated to ensuring the understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers.

We have volunteered to be available on Wednesday, February 12th from 10AM to 4PM to provide adult support to help with a lot of children (mostly on field trips from school). If you can come for any part of the day, please contact Gladys Leal-Mata at (817) 233-8102 (or Gladys.Leal@frostbank.com). We could really use at least two more helpers!

WFAA 2024 Santa's Helpers

WFAA’s Santa's Helpers is celebrated its 55th year of collecting holiday toys for children throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth counties of Collin, Dallas, Denton and Tarrant.

Through the generosity of our members, SPE Fort Worth collected over $300 that will be used for toys for the children this coming year. Thank you to everyone who participated.
