
Arav Sawhney is a senior from Flower Mound High School in Flower Mound, TX, where he is graduating with a 3.89 GPA. He is a Sunlight Initiative Board of Directors member to support educational grants for the underserved communities. Arav has had prior internship opportunities, which include programming at Jetson and designing energy-efficient vehicle components with Shamrock. In his spare time, Arav coaches middle school students’ math, practices taekwondo, and plays pickleball and the piano.
Arav will be attending the University of Texas Cockrell School of Engineering, where he will pursue his degree in Petroleum Engineering with a focus on machine learning and enhanced oil recovery, such as chemical flooding and CO2 injection.
