Abstract
Since commissioning their first modular horizontal well facility (“Duffman”) in 2019, Birch Resources has brought on over 400 wells across 12 facilities in Martin, Howard, and Andrews counties. Tight timelines, weather delays, and major schedule shifts during a global pandemic drove the team toward a standardized facilities layout and aggressive reuse of existing equipment. This discussion will cover the most meaningful lessons learned across mechanical, electrical, automation, and operations, and how those insights inform Birch’s approach today.
