Our speaker series continues this month with an exciting presentation — join us Thursday, February 19th at the Petroleum Club in Downtown Fort Worth from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM CTto hear Noah Buck, Global Business Development Director at NOV, discuss Coiled Tubing Drilling for Ultra-Deep, Hard Rock Applications in O&G and Geothermal. Noah will explore how an autonomous CTD system designed for ultra-deep, large-diameter offshore wells can achieve tripping speeds 3–4× faster than conventional drill pipe while enabling continuous circulation for pressure control and thermal management. Scholarship Applications Now Open! The SPE Fort Worth Section is accepting applications for our undergraduate scholarship — up to $3,000 per year, renewable through senior year for a total of up to $12,000. Eligible students must be enrolled full-time in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering program, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and reside in Tarrant County or surrounding counties. STUDENT SUPPORT

Scholarship applications for the $12,000 SPE Fort Worth Section Scholarship for the 2025-26 school year are closed. Application for the 2026-27 school year will open in January 2026. Qualifying students may receive up to $12,000 to help them with college expenses as they pursue a career in Oil and Gas. Deadline for new applications is April 15th, 2025
